Changes to EU legislation on Medical Devices

With the changes in the European medical device regulations that were introduced in 2010, every medical device sold in Europe—regardless of classification—is required to have a Clinical Evaluation report in its technical file.

A key component of the Clinical Evaluation report (comparable to requirements in the United States and elsewhere) is a literature review of clinical investigations published on similar medical devices.
