Embase offers a secure site option. Please contact your regional e-Helpdesk to set this up.
Are you experiencing any issues with downloading records from the secure site?
These problems are related to Internet Explorer and more details may be found in the Microsoft articles below. They refer mainly to IE 6, but we have found that the problems may also apply to IE7-8.

There are 2 identified problems:
1. The "Do not save encrypted files" checkbox in Internet Explorer is checked. In this case, the work-around is to uncheck the box.
2. Corporate gateways have certain security policies with regards to communication on the SSL channel and stripping of data sent / received from/to the Embase site, which may lead to download problems. This means communication via the SSL channel cannot be easily monitored by corporate malware protection systems as it is encrypted (plain http is not encryted and therefore transparent) and therefore some companies prefer to block any downloads via this channel. If this is the case, your IT department need to be alerted in order to list Embase globally as a trusted SSL encrypted site. The domain name is needed or the source IP addresses, depending on the security solution used by your company.
